WE NEED REVIVAL
We believe Revival is a move of the Spirit of God marked by His presence and power that awakens the church to a greater passion for Jesus and His cause in the earth where the lost are saved and culture is changed. we are contending and praying for revival to come to all the churches in our area.
Revival looks like family
We are deeply committed to investing in children and youth and empowering them to become all that God has called them to be. We love to experience God together as a family. We believe that God wants to bring revival back in the homes. We desire to see children seeing and hearing the heart of the Father. We want to create a culture that encourages families to live a life of prayer and worship every day of the week. The Upper Room is a safe place for families to grow, be encouraged, and most importantly encounter Jesus.
Creating the 3rd place
The first place is our home, the second is our work. Whether it be a coffee shop, a park, or the mall, people are looking for the third place. We want to be a third-place not only to the Body of Christ but to our community. Maybe they will come not looking for Jesus, but we believe that Jesus will find them.
We felt the Lord say, “What are you going to do with the other 166 hours of the week?” We have designed a place that will be an answer to that question. From a park to a coffee shop, we want to explore every option that will create the third place. We want to create a well-designed, carefully thought out “third place” that speaks to creatives and inspires creativity. We will be meeting the needs and caring for the community first, and then earning the privilege to show the love of Jesus.

Our hearts are for THE church. Although we meet in different buildings, we are all the Body of Christ. We desire to be a place that will support local pastors and churches. We are on a mission to know, pray, and help every local church within our region. We aren’t here to build our own kingdom. We are here to build the Kingdom of God. We want to host gatherings of prayer and worship that the whole church can come and be a part of. We have a heart to host daily prayer meetings dedicated to praying for local pastors and church expressions throughout the city.
Our History
Upper Room Northwest was founded by Pastors Matthew and Manesseh Ferrell.
Matt and Manesseh have been involved with many city-wide prayer movements in Washington.
They have served for over 20 years as worship pastors at their local church.
In 2019, a vision was given to Matt and Manesseh to start a church for creatives, influencers, and those called to a lifestyle of prayer and worship who are committed to seeing revival in our generation.
During a season of prayer and fasting, buildings and land were given to Matt and Manesseh to move forward with their vision.
“We love all the different types of expressions in the body of Christ. We knew that we wanted to make a space that allowed creatives to express themselves. We knew that this place had to be a space for community and families to grow together. We knew that we wanted to be a church that helps other ministries in the area. Most importantly, we knew that the foundation of this church would be birthed and sustained by prayer and worship. We desire to see a culture shift in our generation that touches the heart of God and brings revival and His will on earth as it is in heaven”
